Before you read on — what we do, and what we don'tThis guide explains what these repairs cost in the local market so you can compare quotes fairly. We are an IT support business, not a repair workshop. We do not fit screens, keyboards, charging ports or hinges, and we do not carry out board-level repair — for those we diagnose the fault, tell you what a fair price looks like, and refer you to a trusted specialist. What we do handle on-site: setup, slow and crashing machines, Wi-Fi and NBN, email and Microsoft 365, virus removal, backups, battery and SSD/RAM upgrades, and data recovery from working drives. Frequently asked questions

How long does a Mac job take?

Most macOS, setup, migration and virus-removal work is done in one to two hours, usually in a single visit. Storage and memory upgrades take about an hour once the part is on hand. Screen, keyboard and logic board work goes to a specialist and typically takes them a day to a week.

Will my data be safe during repair?

We prioritize data preservation. For most repairs not involving storage, your data is untouched. We recommend Time Machine backup before any repair.

Can you help with a liquid-damaged MacBook?

Up to a point. We do not clean corrosion or replace damaged components — that is board-level work. What we can do is get your data off while the Mac still boots, tell you honestly what the damage looks like, and refer you to a specialist. Act fast either way: corrosion keeps spreading after the spill.

Do you supply Mac parts?

Only upgrade parts — SSDs, RAM and power adapters — quoted before we order them. We do not fit or supply Apple display, keyboard or logic board parts. If a repairer offers you the choice, genuine Apple parts keep True Tone and factory colour; a quality aftermarket panel saves money on an older Mac.

Can you upgrade an old Mac to make it faster?

Often yes. On Macs where the drive or memory is still serviceable, an SSD or RAM upgrade makes a real difference. On sealed models we can still free up space, clean up startup items and set up an external SSD. We'll tell you which applies to yours.

Do you support the latest MacBooks with M1/M2 chips?

Yes. We support all M1, M2, and M3 MacBooks including Air and Pro models. Apple Silicon Macs are sealed, so hardware work is limited to what Apple and specialists can do — the software, setup and migration side we handle in full.

Is it worth repairing an old MacBook?

Depends on the model, issue, and cost. MacBooks from 2015-2019 are often worth keeping — an SSD upgrade or a clean macOS install brings them back. Once a job needs a screen, keyboard or logic board, the quote usually approaches the price of a newer machine. We give honest advice either way.
