What IT services can I get near me in Brisbane?

We cover computer and laptop troubleshooting and setup, RAM and SSD upgrades, Apple Mac support, virus and malware removal, Wi-Fi and internet setup, device setup and business IT support. You can book a technician to visit your home or office, or have most software issues handled remotely.

Can you fix my computer remotely instead of visiting?

Yes. Software faults, account and email problems, and many slow-computer issues can be handled in a remote session. Diagnosing hardware faults, network setup and other hands-on work usually need a technician onsite. We will tell you which applies when you call 1300 600 004.

How much does an IT technician cost in Brisbane?

Onsite support is $205 per hour and remote support is $125 per hour, with a one-hour minimum and no call-out fee. Business managed IT plans are listed on our business IT support page.

Which areas do your IT services cover?

Geeks Brisbane services Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan, Moreton Bay (as far north as Caboolture) and Redlands. Gold Coast visits are $225 per hour because of travel. If you are unsure whether we reach your address, call 1300 600 004 and we will confirm it.

Can I visit your Brisbane office for IT help?

Yes, but you need an appointment first. Our office is at Level 4, 260 Queen St, Brisbane. Book by phone on 1300 600 004 or online, then visit at the agreed time rather than walking in.

Apple Mac Support Across Brisbane

Apple gear is everywhere in Brisbane homes and offices, and we support it on-site: macOS problems on MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, iMacs that refuse to start, Mac minis that need an SSD or memory upgrade, iCloud and Apple ID tangles, and moving everything across to a new Mac without losing a file. We don't do Mac hardware repair — screens, batteries or logic boards — and we will tell you so at diagnosis rather than charge for work we cannot finish.

See the full Apple service list on our Apple Mac support page, or book a visit and we will come to you anywhere from the CBD to The Gap.

Brisbane Suburbs We Service

We are a mobile service, so the question that matters is whether we come to your street — not whether we have a shopfront near it. We do, across all of Greater Brisbane, seven days a week. Below is every suburb our technicians work, grouped the way the city actually divides up. Remote support is $125/hr and on-site is $205/hr, with no call-out or travel fee wherever you are on this list.

CBD & Inner City Hub Area

Brisbane City, Fortitude Valley, Newstead, New Farm, South Brisbane and West End — apartment towers, home offices and small studios between the river and the inner ring. We sort building access and lift bookings before we arrive.

Northside

Chermside, Aspley, Nundah, Everton Park and out to Sandgate — from the Kedron Brook flats to the bay and up through the Ferny Grove hills. Family homes, home offices and a lot of NBN and Wi-Fi work.

Southside

Sunnybank, Mount Gravatt, Annerley, Forest Lake and Inala — through to the western industrial belt at Wacol and Darra. Family device fleets, home offices and small business networks.

Eastern Suburbs & Bayside

Carindale, Camp Hill, Bulimba, Wynnum and Manly — older brick homes with thick walls where Wi-Fi needs planning, not guesswork, plus the trade and logistics businesses toward the port.

Western Suburbs & The Gap

Toowong, Indooroopilly, Kenmore, Bardon and The Gap — university students near St Lucia, and acreage blocks with long driveways where a single router was never going to reach.

Every Brisbane suburb we cover

Grouped the way the city actually divides up. Tap a suburb for local detail — the price is the same everywhere on this list.

CBD & Inner City

Apartment towers, home offices and small studios between the river and the inner ring. Building access sorted in advance, and we work around lift bookings.

Eastern Suburbs & Bayside

Carina and Camp Hill out to Manly, Wynnum and the port. Older brick homes with thick walls where Wi-Fi needs planning, not guesswork.

Western Suburbs & The Gap

Toowong and Indooroopilly through Kenmore, Brookfield and The Gap. Acreage blocks and long driveways where a single router was never going to reach.

How same-day works across the city

Same-day is realistic in most of Brisbane if you book before early afternoon. Where you are changes the honest answer, so here it is by district:

  • CBD, inner city and the inner north and south — usually same-day on a morning booking. Tell us the building and whether there is a lift dock, and we will sort access before arriving.
  • Northside, Southside and the eastern suburbs — same-day most weekdays. The bayside run out to Manly and Wynnum is a set corridor, so afternoon slots there fill first.
  • The Gap, Brookfield, Moggill and the western acreage — same-day when we can, but these are long single visits rather than a run of short ones. Wi-Fi that has to cover a large block is planned work, not a five-minute router swap.

Either way there is no call-out fee and no travel charge. A job in Moggill costs the same hourly rate as one in Spring Hill.

Why Brisbane Chooses Geeks Brisbane

Showing up when we said we would, fixing the problem properly and charging what we quoted — across every district of the city.

Local Brisbane Knowledge

Our office is on Queen Street in the CBD and our technicians work the whole city — inner-city loading docks, the bayside run to Wynnum and Manly, and the long driveways out at Brookfield and Moggill.

Same-Day Visits, 7 Days

Book before 2pm and we can usually be at your Brisbane door the same day. Appointments run 6am to 10pm, weekends included, at no extra charge.

No Fix, No Fee on standard support (excludes hardware repairs and parts)

No surprises — we confirm the hourly rate before we start. Visits have a one-hour minimum ($205/hr onsite, $125/hr remote), and No Fix, No Fee excludes hardware repairs and parts. The price you see when booking is the price you pay — no call-out fee and no travel surcharge anywhere in Brisbane.

Home & Business Support

From a family PC in Carina to a studio network in Newstead and a clinic in Chermside, we support Brisbane homes and businesses with the same care and transparent pricing.

Brisbane Computer Repair FAQs

How quickly can you get to my Brisbane suburb?

Most Brisbane bookings placed before about 2pm get a same-day visit, subject to technician availability. The CBD, inner city and the inner north and south are usually quickest; the western acreage can take longer because those are long single visits. Call 1300 600 004 if it is urgent and we will tell you honestly what we can do today.

Do you charge extra for distant Brisbane suburbs?

No hidden call-out fees. The price you see when booking is the price you pay, whether you're in Brisbane CBD or North Lakes. Our service includes 1 hour of technician time for onsite or remote support.

Do you come to my home or should I bring my computer to you?

We come to you! Our Brisbane technicians provide onsite service at your home or office. For software issues, we also offer remote support where we connect securely to your computer. No need to unplug anything or bring your PC anywhere.

What if the repair takes longer than an hour?

Most common computer problems are resolved within the first hour. If additional time is needed, your technician will discuss options with you before proceeding. There are no surprise charges — we confirm the hourly rate before we start.

Are you available on weekends in Brisbane?

Yes! We operate 7 days a week, from 6am to 10pm. Weekend appointments are available across Brisbane at no extra charge. Book online or call us on 1300 600 004.

How are you different from the national franchises?

Geeks Brisbane is locally run, with our office on Queen Street in the Brisbane CBD — not a national franchise with a call centre. You book with the team that sends the technician, you get a fixed hourly rate with no call-out or travel fee, and every job is covered by No Fix, No Fee on standard support (excludes hardware repairs and parts).

Do you actually cover my suburb, or only the ones near you?

If it appears on the list above, we work it — that is 174 Brisbane suburbs, from Brisbane City out to Moggill and Mount Coot-tha. We are a mobile service, so there is no shopfront you need to live near. If your street is not listed, call and ask anyway; the list reflects where we drive regularly rather than a hard boundary.

Does it cost more if I am further out?

No. On-site work is $205 per hour and remote support is $125 per hour, the same rate anywhere we cover. There is no call-out fee, no travel surcharge and no weekend loading — a job in Moggill is priced identically to one in Spring Hill. Managed IT for businesses is quoted per site, because the scope varies too much for an hourly figure to be honest.

Should I book from this page or from my suburb's own page?

It makes no difference to the booking or the price. Four larger areas — the CBD, Northside, Southside and eastern suburbs — have their own pages with detail specific to those streets. Everything routes to the same technicians and the same rates.

Can you set up Wi-Fi and NBN in an apartment building?

Yes. Inner-city towers in the CBD, Newstead, South Brisbane and Kangaroo Point have their own quirks — the NBN point is often in a cupboard or comms riser, and concrete floors stop Wi-Fi dead between rooms. We find the building's connection, set up the modem and a mesh system that reaches every room, and check each device before we leave. See Wi-Fi and network setup.

Do you support businesses in the CBD and Fortitude Valley?

Yes. We look after offices, studios, clinics and retail across the CBD, Fortitude Valley, Newstead, Milton and Spring Hill — Microsoft 365 and email, business Wi-Fi, workstations, printers, backups and ongoing support plans sized for small business. See business IT support.

Another rep from a different company had already tried to connect my device and left me unable to use the computer. Brisbane Geek came and fixed perfectly in not time conducting checks of every aspect before leaving. I am so grateful, strongly recommend and will be a loyal customer in future. Thanks so much.
