Bulimba is a leafy riverside suburb of renovated Queenslanders, newer riverfront homes and one of Brisbane's best-known dining strips on Oxford Street. We split our time here between small hospitality and retail businesses that need their point-of-sale and Wi-Fi to hold up on a busy Saturday, and families and professionals with busy home offices, smart TVs and a house full of devices. Streets & Areas We Cover in Bulimba

We cover every pocket of Bulimba 4171 — here is what we see most in each part of the suburb.

Oxford Street Hub Area

Bulimba's dining and retail precinct, from the ferry up past Memorial Park and the Balmoral Cineplex. Cafes, restaurants and boutiques call us for point-of-sale internet, guest Wi-Fi and office PCs.

Bulimba ferry terminal & Bulimba Memorial Park

The CityCat stop at the bottom of Oxford Street and the heritage park up the hill. City commuters living nearby need home-office setup and VPN access.

Apollo Road & the former Bulimba Barracks

The northern riverfront, with its second ferry stop and the barracks land being redeveloped. Newer homes here call for whole-home Wi-Fi, smart-home networking and new-device setup.

Bulimba State School & the Queenslander streets

The leafy streets of renovated timber homes around the primary school. Wi-Fi dead zones, school laptops and shared family printers are the everyday jobs. Mesh Wi-Fi is often the fix.

Bulimba Riverside Park & the river streets

The quiet streets along the Brisbane River. Larger homes bring us mesh Wi-Fi installs, home theatre networking and moving files to new computers. Backups too.

Why Bulimba Chooses Geeks Brisbane

Bulimba mixes hospitality businesses with busy households, so we need to handle a cafe's point-of-sale in the morning and a family's Wi-Fi redesign that afternoon.

Local Bulimba Knowledge

We know Oxford Street runs from the ferry up past Memorial Park, that parking on it is scarce on weekends, and that a renovated Queenslander with a new rear extension is where Wi-Fi usually gives up.

Same-Day Visits, 7 Days

Book before 2pm and we can usually be at your Bulimba door the same day. Appointments run 6am to 10pm, weekends included, at no extra charge.

Quoted Prices, No Surprises

Remote support is $125/hr and onsite is $205/hr, with no call-out or travel fee anywhere in Bulimba. The price you see when you book is the price you pay.

No Fix, No Fee

No surprises — we confirm the hourly rate before we start. Visits have a one-hour minimum ($205/hr onsite, $125/hr remote), and No Fix, No Fee excludes hardware repairs and parts. And if a device turns out to need physical repair we do not provide, we tell you during the diagnosis rather than charging for work we cannot finish.

Another rep from a different company had already tried to connect my device and left me unable to use the computer. Brisbane Geek came and fixed perfectly in not time conducting checks of every aspect before leaving. I am so grateful, strongly recommend and will be a loyal customer in future. Thanks so much.

Bulimba Computer Support FAQs

How fast can you get to Bulimba?

Bulimba is close to the city on our eastern run, and bookings placed before about 2pm usually get a same-day visit. We are open 7 days, 6am to 10pm, so we can often come before a cafe opens. Call 1300 600 004 if it is urgent.

Can you fix point-of-sale and Wi-Fi problems at an Oxford Street cafe or shop?

Yes. We troubleshoot the internet connection, router and Wi-Fi behind your point-of-sale and EFTPOS, separate guest Wi-Fi from your business network, and can add a backup connection. See our business IT support page.

Our renovated Queenslander has a dead zone in the new extension. What helps?

Extensions are often built with different materials and sit a long way from the NBN box. A mesh node or cabled access point in the extension usually solves it. We test first so you only pay for what works. More on Wi-Fi setup.

Is it a house call or a drop-off?

A house call — we come to you and there is no drop-off shop. On-site support is $205/hr with no call-out or travel fee. Remote support is $125/hr.

How much does it cost in Bulimba?

It is $205/hr on-site and $125/hr remote. There is no call-out fee or travel charge. No surprises — we confirm the hourly rate before we start. Visits have a one-hour minimum, and No Fix, No Fee excludes hardware repairs and parts. That applies to Oxford Street businesses as well as homes.

No Fix, No Fee applies to standard remote and on-site technical support where we are unable to resolve your issue. It excludes hardware repairs, does not guarantee a resolution within the minimum one-hour visit, and does not cover additional labour time or parts, which remain payable. Where additional work is quoted and not accepted, No Fix, No Fee does not apply to that work.
