Get a Kangaroo Point Technician at Your Door

Kangaroo Point is mostly apartments and townhouses, from 1960s walk-ups to riverfront towers, with a scattering of old Queenslanders and some offices along Main Street. Most residents work in the city across the river, and many work from home some days. The jobs we see most are apartment Wi-Fi and NBN, home office setups, and new devices that need to talk to each other. Book online or call 1300 600 004.

Streets & Areas We Cover in Kangaroo Point

We cover every pocket of Kangaroo Point 4169 — here is what we see most in each part of the suburb.

Main Street Hub Area

The main road down the peninsula, with offices, shops and apartment blocks along it. Small businesses here need network support and business email; residents need NBN connections and Wi-Fi set up properly.

The Kangaroo Point Cliffs

The clifftop parkland and the apartment towers above it. High-rise residents book us for building NBN connections, router placement, and getting smart TVs and sound systems onto the network.

The Story Bridge end & Captain Burke Park

The northern tip of the peninsula around the bridge. Older walk-up units here often need router upgrades, help with laptops that have slowed down, and virus cleanups.

Shafston House & the southern riverfront

The heritage house and the riverside streets heading toward East Brisbane. Home offices here want secure Wi-Fi, automatic backups and a printer that works from every device.

The Holman Street ferry wharf

The heritage ferry stop near the tip of the peninsula. Commuters living nearby book us for new laptop setup, moving data from an old computer and getting phones syncing properly.

Why Kangaroo Point Chooses Geeks Brisbane

Nearly every Kangaroo Point home is an apartment or townhouse, and each building is wired differently, so knowing how building internet works matters more here than almost anywhere.

Local Kangaroo Point Knowledge

We know the peninsula has only a few roads in and out, that visitor parking in towers usually needs a concierge booking, and that the Kangaroo Point Green Bridge is for walkers and cyclists, not vans.

Same-Day Visits, 7 Days

Book before 2pm and we can usually be at your Kangaroo Point door the same day. Appointments run 6am to 10pm, weekends included, at no extra charge.

Quoted Prices, No Surprises

Remote support is $125/hr and onsite is $205/hr, with no call-out or travel fee anywhere in Kangaroo Point. The price you see when you book is the price you pay.

No Fix, No Fee

No surprises — we confirm the hourly rate before we start. Visits have a one-hour minimum ($205/hr onsite, $125/hr remote), and No Fix, No Fee excludes hardware repairs and parts. And if a device turns out to need physical repair we do not provide, we tell you during the diagnosis rather than charging for work we cannot finish.

Visit by Vinnie. A very knowledgeable and efficient young man who sorted what to me were insurmountable problems in short order. A very pleasant experience overall. I would recommend Geeks any time and Vinnie in particular. Kev White. Brisbane.

Another rep from a different company had already tried to connect my device and left me unable to use the computer. Brisbane Geek came and fixed perfectly in not time conducting checks of every aspect before leaving. I am so grateful, strongly recommend and will be a loyal customer in future. Thanks so much.

Kangaroo Point Computer Support FAQs

How quickly can you get to Kangaroo Point?

Kangaroo Point is right next to the city, so it is one of our quickest runs. Bookings before about 2pm usually get a same-day visit, and we are open 7 days, 6am to 10pm.

Why is my apartment internet so much slower than advertised?

In apartment buildings it is often the connection inside the unit, an old router, or a signal crowded out by dozens of neighbouring networks. We test the line, check the router and change channels or equipment so you get closer to the speed you pay for.

Can you set up a work-from-home office in a small unit?

Yes. We set up the laptop, monitors, printer, secure Wi-Fi and a work VPN if your employer uses one, and make sure video calls are stable. Later tweaks can usually be done through remote support without another visit.

Do you come to me or do I drop the computer off?

We come to you. On-site support is $205/hr on the peninsula with no call-out or travel fee. If the fix can be done over the internet, remote support is $125/hr.

What does it cost?

It is $205/hr for on-site support and $125/hr for remote help. No surprises — we confirm the hourly rate before we start. Visits have a one-hour minimum, and No Fix, No Fee excludes hardware repairs and parts.

No Fix, No Fee applies to standard remote and on-site technical support where we are unable to resolve your issue. It excludes hardware repairs, does not guarantee a resolution within the minimum one-hour visit, and does not cover additional labour time or parts, which remain payable. Where additional work is quoted and not accepted, No Fix, No Fee does not apply to that work.
